Captain’s House

Nantucket, Massachusetts

Built in 1760 and occupied by 3 whaling captains, this wonderful historic home known as the Captain Robert Wyer House underwent an extensive, multi-year renovation. Located close to beaches and downtown Nantucket, the house offers several living areas, 3 fireplaces, spectacular water views from the widow's walk, including a third-floor bunk room, and a stunning outdoor entertaining space for summer nights.

While restoring the original home’s architectural details and finishes, we were able to seamlessly design a new addition off the back of the house to increase the living space and create a kitchen and dining room to entertain full family gatherings.

One of the highlights of the projects was the conversion of the existing storage shed in the side yard to an outdoor bar and lounge space. The bar is comfortable nestled between the sunken patio lounge space and the outdoor dining pavilion.
